WHNA takes action, notes
from our President (9/29/2006):
I have contacted
DeKalb county inquiring about a crosswalk installtion
on LaVista Road at corner of Woodland Hills Drive
giving pedestrians access to cross over to the LaVista
sidewalks. I've requested that this crosswalk include
a "State-Law stop for pedestrians" sign
in the middle.
I've contacted
DeKalb County requesting a study take place to determine
if Woodland Hills Drive / Woodland Avenue would be
eligible for sidewalks. Dekalb County gave our request
for sidewalks on one side of the street from Cheshire
Bridge to LaVista a "high priority 2" on
a scale of 1 to 3 - 1 being most important 3 being
least important.
I've requested
that dekalb police monitor speeding on Woodland Ave
and Woodland Hills Drive
I followed up on the 4-way
stop sign request at Vista Trail and Woodland Hills
Drive and it is still being evaluated and studied
by the county.
I've reported the vandalized
DeKalb County Sign on Woodland Ave.
