October 28, 2006 Association Minutes

Neighborhood Boundaries -
- All addresses in Fulton County/City of Atlanta are part of the Lindridge Martin Manor Neighborhood.
If anyone has paid WHNA dues and is officially a Fulton Co/City of Atlanta resident and would like a refund, please contact our treasurer for your reimbursement. Any Fulton County/City of Atlanta resident is also more than welcome to stay involved in our association and support WHNA.

Website Update -
- www.WoodlandHillsAtlanta.org is getting better all the time. Check it out, click around, contribute. Our chat room, known as “The Neighborhood Forum” is up and going too. Please check it out.

Landscape Donation -
- One of our board members, Alex Nardone, has secured a Landscape company based in our neighborhood to maintain the landscape by our entrance sign at the corner of Woodland Hills and LaVista Rd.

Neighborhood Entrance Sign Redesign –
- Four designs submitted. They will be posted on the website shortly and members will vote on their preferred design on the WHNA website. Resident James Squires will handle the painting of our current sign when a new design is chosen

Traffic/Zoning Update -
- Three intersections involved; Briarcliff/Clifton, Briarcliff/LaVista, and Briarcliff/NDruidHills. Proposed plans displayed on each. Please check out our website to see the proposed intersection changes.

- Our Board requested Sidewalks from the county on Woodland Hills Drive/Woodland Ave. County did an impact study and deemed need for sidewalks as High priority 2 on a scale of 1 to 3. 3 being the lowest. Revisited after the first of the year, and if request granted, installation within the next 28 months
- Board requested crosswalks on Lavista at Woodland Hills. County not yet responded to request.
- Board requested 4-way stop sign at Vista Trail and Woodland Hills….request denied, County says that volume is high enough on Woodland Hills Drive to consider a 4-way stop sign but volume not high enough on Vista Trail.
- Board may consider requesting 3-way stop at Shepards Lane and BriarVista to further calm traffic for the residents of Shepherds Lane
- Board to consider requesting the county for specific “cut through” hours on Shepards Lane. Something along the lines of no thru traffic from 8pm to 8am.

2020 Lenox Road Power Substation Update -
- GaPower substation definitely being built at 2020 and 2010 Lenox Rd. and they are trying to purchase 2004 Lenox Rd.
Construction to begin spring ‘07
Potential benefit might be GaPower installing sidewalks on Lenox to Woodland Ave.
